THE DARK NIGHT

Photoshopped by compiling several images of my photography.

A flame devours me with all its might
In the cold darkness, the angels took flight
So cool, so dark; a chill ran down my spine
A story where Satan eludes the God’s sight.

It’s a story of that very night.

Frail were the angels, who remained on that land,
With wings down and their mourning face;
They wept and cried so much, so on
That the dark wind howled in that silent night.

It’s a story of that very night.

With all the blood spilled on the ground
And heads and limbs twisted around
So foul the stench of blood and guts,
It was a rule of the weak over might.

It’s a story of that very night.

Don’t know how scrapes of paper,
Possessed the power to buy a man.
A bargain we made to slay ourselves,
A barter for doom made with delight.

It’s a story of that very night.

Women cried, Children died,
Yet the angels could do nothing;
With their wings burning, they lay there,
Such was that horrible sight.

It’s a story of that very night.

God cried with a heavy heart
He could do nothing but see;
For WE welcomed this fate on ourselves,
With a heart full of vengeance and spite.

It’s a story of that very night.

“A day will come”, spoke a Stranger. “When this will end.
“Though some angels’ wings are burning now
“And the others have flown away
“Yet there remains a hope, in darkness lies a ray of light.

“It’s the story of every single night.

“With night and darkness all over,
“We cried once again together
“The night has bring us all together
“And this union is mightier than the Might.

“It’s the same story every single night.

“It’s time we stand for what is wrong
“We stand together against the dark
“With a passion to overcome the wrong within
“Its time we stand for fair and right."

Amidst the cries, His words were lost
In the howling wind, that stranger stood
With a torch, a flame, to show us the way
Was He the God, or just a Sprite?

It’s a story of that very night.

Some threw stones at Him,
Some fired at Him, the filthy words;
With a drop of tear in His eyes,
He turned back, leaving us in fright.

It’s a story of that very night.

The wind stopped howling;
A voice boomed across the horizon.
A voice with a power to silence the cries;
The voice of the Stranger, but no one in sight.

The voice sang that very night:

“An eternal passion burning inside,
“A distant dream kept aside.
“The world won’t see the world as I see
It’s a darker day and a brighter night.

It is the story of that very night.

THE EXISTENCE

Image taken at Chandrapur, Chhattisgarh, India.
Sometimes I feel are you there?
Sometimes it feels as I don’t exist
Sometimes its like I am the world
Sometimes its like trapped in a cyst

Do I see what doesn’t exist
Or do I see what I look
Do I have to close my eyes
Or open them and read a book

It’s a mystery I know it is
Neither maths nor history can solve
Is it me or is it you
Should I struggle or should I evolve

World exists? or only in my mind
What is mind and who are You
When I close my eyes and my ears
Am I, me; are You, You?

Help me to make me see
What really it is
Is this my world
Or everything is His

I want to see all the colours
I want to hear all the songs
I want to see how time dresses
I want to see to whom it belongs

Yearning to see how truth looks like
What colour is the rose, what colour the skies
It’s me yearning for You
O Lord, please, listen to my cries.

AB TO WAAPAS AA JAO

Image Courtesy - www.sandosage.blogspot.com

An excerpt from my poem...

Ek arsa hua tumse milke
Ab to wapas aa jao
Saawan bhi ro ro barsa
Ab to wapas aa jaao

Nahi sahi jaati yeh duriyan
Labo pe ab shikayatein rehti hain
Bheegti rahi aankhein aansuon ki baarish mein
Yeh dil bhi teri yaad mein tarsa
Ab to wapaas aa jaao

Teri yaadon ka safar hai mushkil bada
Na jaane kyun door hai humsafar mera
Yaadein samet kar palkon mein to rakh li
Par un aansuon ka kya karoon jo thamne ka naam nahi lete

Is bheegi bheegi baarish mein
le lo mujhe aaghosh mein
Badra bhi rokar tujhe bulaaye
Ab to wapas aa jaao.

THE DEATH BED : A SHORT STORY

This short-story is one of my earlier works.
Original picture drawn  by Vidushi Pandey.
The IMAGE and the STORY, both are original works.
Parenthesis is used to put emphasis on narration parts of the story.
Photoshop used on  the picture to add rain , black background   and text.

THE DEATH BED

Artist - Vidushi Pandey
Photoshopped by - Shreyansh Chouradia (Springy)
He loved me and he loved me a lot. He used to say I was his angel.
(With a tear in her eye Margaret told her husband Josh.)

He cared for me more than anyone has ever done. He always used to ask me, “Come on Maggi, tell me, who was your first love”, and I always ignored that question purposely. I liked the hint of fire in his eyes. A fire of possessiveness; a fire of envy that someone else will share my love for him someday.

(Josh seemed restless. Margaret’s eyes were now drenched with tears for her lost love. Her long eyelashes, though soaked completely in tears, looked beautiful. Josh consoled her. He petted her shoulder and she wept for long in his arms. After composing herself back, she continued) :

He was in his death bed. His eyes were dark and skin had turned pale. He was counting last of his breaths.

(A drop of tear fell on Josh’s face, who was now lying on Margaret’s lap. Margaret continued, now sobbing) :

His last words asked me a question, “Maggi, who was your first love?”
All those moments spent with him rolled on before my eyes. The way we hugged, the way we cared for each other, the way he used to hold my hands. He was there whenever I needed him…

(She wept harder, but continued.)

We have laughed and cried together, celebrated and mourned together. And now…now he was leaving me.

“Who was your first love?” he me asked again.
I smiled held his hand and kissed it. I replied, and these were the words he was waiting for before leaving me forever.

“You were my first love, dad. You have always been my first love.”

Note- One thing I've learnt while using cellphone as camera - NEVER EVER USE ZOOM unless its very much necessary [or if your cam has an optical zoom]... Otherwise the result would lead to a pixelated picture as this one. Nonetheless, pixels can't win over cuteness :)

A POINT BLANK SHOT

After sitting still in my garden for half an hour with my cellphone and discarding more than 10 photos, finally this butterfly actually let me 'shoot' this picture from a

NO STRINGS ATTACHED

Two hands, ten fingers
On these metal strings;

The night before that dismal dawn
When you just ‘moved on’.
My heart bled that whole night,
Sucked in a vacuum without light.

A chord snapped between your heart and mine
My heart ached like a wound in brine.
“I am there with you, Dear”, you said, “Do not fret.”
Then why did you leave me here, with eyes all wet.
Like a bend in a river, you changed your way
You cared for my heart, then you did slay.

As the chords snapped,
The bridge fell down;
Leaving my heart wretched and patched
You left me here with no strings attached.

Two hands, ten fingers
On these metal strings…
